We can’t even imagine what the pandemic would have been like without the technology we enjoy today. Zoom and other video conferencing platforms rapidly expanded their capabilities to respond to the need for all types of virtual meetings – from sales calls to doctors’ visits to classroom presentations. 

Telehealth has grown exponentially in the last three years, as those afraid of catching a virus still needed medical care, prescriptions, and access to their doctor’s expertise and advice. In-person consultations were impossible, but virtual consultations kept healthcare running through the lockdowns. And although virtual consultations are no longer required, they are here to stay – becoming an integral part of how providers will deliver health services well into the future. 

Virtual Consultation Benefits

• Virtual consultations allow Dr. Hamwi and his team to examine hair and baldness patterns over a video connection, view the client’s photographs and images, and demonstrate the instruments they will be using for the procedure. 
• Clients can participate in the full consultative experience, asking any necessary questions without leaving the comfort of their living room. 
• By reducing the number of people in the lobby or waiting room, The Hair Transplant Center significantly minimizes the possibility of COVID or flu transmission.
• If the client decides on topical treatment, the doctors can remain involved even if the client never enters the office.  

Patients will have to come into the office if they opt for FUE or FUT treatments or PRP therapies. You can be assured that our offices are cleaned, sterilized, and decontaminated regularly, and we practice social distancing whenever possible.  

Eligible Candidates

Dr. Hamwi, Clinician Sia Gieger, and Clinician Rhonda Daniels will evaluate your hair loss details to determine if you are eligible for a transplant based on all the relevant factors. If a hair transplant is inappropriate for your situation, they will continue working with you to establish an effective hair restoration strategy.

Preparation and Procedure

During your initial consultation, Dr. Hamwi or a member of his team will provide instructions on how to prepare for the hair transplant procedure. They will tell you what to do – and what not to do – in the days and hours leading up to your procedure. 

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Our team of hair restoration specialists respects and considers the patterns of your natural hair growth. When we harvest follicle units from the back of the head, we remove a single unit from an area with plenty of healthy hair growth. One unit could contain up to three individual hairs, which are then harvested carefully and selectively.
